Replication: SYNC or ASYNC ?

Вопрос о том какой тип репликации использовать SYNC or ASYNC был решен давно. Только ASYNC !!!
SYNC оставался все это время как чисто теоретический вариант.

Примерно то же самое и в Оракле, только ASYNC....было до недавних пор.
В версии Oracle 12c придумано новшество - FarSync database.
FarSync -- это для тех кому надо синхронную (гарантированную) репликацию, но нет гарантии что сеть между Source DB и Target будет всегда работать.
Фактически FarSync -- это не база, а перевалочный пункт для redo ( after-image notes ).
Эта "база данных" (без данных) устанавливается близко, совсем рядом с Source DB. Например на рядом стоячем сервере, то есть так что бы Network всегда 100% работала между ними и репликация Source - FarSync делается SYNC.
А уже далекая репликация (отсюда и название) FarSync - Target делается как обычно ASYNC.

Такая не очень сложная идея в принципе могда бы быть и в OE Replication. Все что для этого нужно это каскадирование репликации. Когда Target DB одновременно является источником для ешё одной Target2. Это тоже новшество 12c.
