По данным Дэна Формана самая большая прогрессовая база которую он видел была 6 TB. Скажем теперь все базы Progress в пределах 10 TB. 1TB=10

Когда несколько лет назад Progress аннонсировал что в 10-ке базы могут быть до пета-байт 1PB=10, было немного смешно. А сейчас уже такие RDBMS есть, но правда не Прогресс.

Так например база спец эффектов 3D CGI к фильму Avatar (2009) 1 PB.
База Facebook (August 2012) 100 PB. Правда это не RDBMS, а Hadoop clusters на единой файловой системе HDFS.

Далее Экса-байтные базы "Big Data". 1EB=10 Такие файловые системы уже есть.

Далее Зетта-байт. 1ZB=10 Это уже размер всего World Wide Web на сегодня оценивается в Зетта-байтах.

Наконец ётта-байт. 1YB=10 Это когда Мастер Yoda придет (Star Wars)
